Transición primaveral/Spring Transition, 13 episodes, 146 minutes, 2020-22 (Camila Téllez in collaboration with Eszter Katalin)

synopsis

“Spring Transition” is a miniseries dedicated to the theme of vampirism from a queer and transfeminist perspective that was developed over three years (2020-2022) in the Basque Country. Through performance, improvisation, conversation, fictional documentary storytelling and the use of the camera, the two artists Camila Téllez and Eszter Katalin develop a vampiric visual language that draws on autobiography, childhood memories and critical self-reflection to address issues such as gender representations, migration, belonging and families of choice, etc.

Camila Tellez invited me to collaborate in this project with them. The whole miniseries was created through improvisation: while Camila Téllez played the vampire, I took on the role of interviewer and was responsible for the camera work, the editing process and the whole post-production.
