This documentary essay film is composed of materials pertaining to the archive of the VBKÖ –Vereinigung bildender Künstlerinnen Österreichs (Austrian Association of Women Artists). Departing from folder Archive 179 it traces the network of five queer artists who were active in the VBKÖ and the Wiener Frauenkunst (Viennese Women’s Art Association).

In a close reading of the presented documents the film confronts the unsettling intersection of queerness with National Socialism in the history of the association.
